Pakistan’s military has not demanded action against the Daily Dawn journalist Cyril Almeida.
Geo News current affairs host, Shahzeb Khanzada in his show quoted the military sources and said “We have never sought action against the newspaper and the journalist, we haven’t asked for putting anybody on ECL”
The military officials said action was sought against those who leaked the highly sensitive information from an important meeting instead of those who reported the issue.

Khanzada quoting Pakistani military sources also said that military is more interested to find the mastermind who penned and distorted a conversation between chief minister Punjab and chief of the Inter-Services Intelligence at a high level security meeting that took place on Oct 7
Cyril Almeida’s name on Tuesday had been placed on the “Exit Control List”.
