Renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil, who is now on vacation to Canada, was transferred to a hospital on Tuesday after suffering a heart arrest.
In a tweet, Yousaf Jamil confirmed the news: “Baba Jaan is currently in Canada and has been shifted to the hospital due to a heart attack. By the grace of Allah, his condition is much better now.”
He asked Jamil’s supporters to pray for the student’s rapid recovery. “May Allah Almighty grant my father full health,” added Yousaf.
In a video uploaded on the scholar’s YouTube, Jamil stated that his father developed chest problems at about 1 p.m. local time (3 a.m. in Canada) and was subsequently sent to the hospital.
