A young woman from Lahore seeking assistance from the FIA Cyber Crime unit was reportedly harassed by the FIA’s officer assigned to help her.
Chaudhry Hashmat disclosed on social media that Dr Rizwan Sabir, an officer with the FIA Cyber Crime Lahore, allegedly exploited his position by inviting the woman to a private meeting to discuss her complaint.
The woman had initially contacted Dr. Sabir for help after being blackmailed with private images and data. She presented evidence of threatening messages and blackmail from an individual. However, Dr. Sabir reportedly dismissed her concerns and suggested a personal meeting at a gym he frequents after work hours.
The alleged misconduct has led to further violations of her privacy, with her private photos and data being leaked publicly.
In response to these developments, Chaudhry Hashmat has appealed to Chief Minister Punjab, Mariam Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and the Director General of the FIA to take swift action against Dr. Sabir and to ensure the victim receives the necessary support. This case underscores the critical need for robust mechanisms to protect individuals, especially young women, from similar abuses of power.
Dr Rizwan sabir is a habitual criminal he should be in jail instead of being in FIA office , this is not first time of his misuse of office .
Mark my words, you won’t be able to do anything against these bastards/namak harams of FIA and would have to leave this matter to “Akhrat”.
