Gul Shad, a resident of Lahore, received an alarming electricity bill of Rs. 150,000 for just 126 units of consumption. Upon visiting the office to resolve the issue, employees forcibly removed him.

Advocate Rana Sikandar filed a petition against LESCO on behalf of Gul Shad in the Lahore High Court. The petition names LESCO and other relevant authorities as respondents, seeking justice for the erroneous bill.

The petition details that Gul Shad resides in a modest 1.5-marla house in Sharqpur. He asserts that his monthly electricity usage was only 126 units, yet LESCO issued an outrageous bill of Rs. 150,000.

Gul Shad reported the discrepancy and visited the WAPDA office to address the issue. However, LESCO officials had him physically ejected from the premises instead of assistance.

The petition requests the court to intervene and direct LESCO to correct the inflated electricity bill. The situation highlights the challenges faced by consumers dealing with utility billing issues and the need for accountable customer service from utility providers.
