Internationally renowned super star Ali Zafar was awarded an honourary life-time membership of the Lahore Press Club at a ceremony held at the club last week. Speaking at the session titled ‘Meet the press’, Zafar told journalists that Kill Dil is his sixth film in Bollywood and like always, the local audiences have showered him with love and support for this project
“I have done some phenomenal work in Bollywood and it is my wish to use my experience of filmmaking in the B Town for betterment of the Pakistani film industry,” Zafar said.
“Apart from commencing work on my own feature film, I have also started working on a state-of-the-art music production studio,”he added.
In response to a question, Zafar said Indian producers want to make films in Pakistan but to achieve that, there are some serious policy reconsiderations that need to be happen government level.
“Whenever a local film is released, it does better business than any foreign film in Pakistan and Waar is a great example of this,” he said.
He further added that it is great to see that India has dedicated a channel solely to Pakistani content and if we make quality films, they could also get released in India, he opined.
I can't recall watching any "phenomenal work" by Ali Zafar in Bollywood. If only he gave a press release of that too as he collected his life time membership of the Lahore Press Club
