The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police force is the second most trusted institution in the province.
The survey was conducted by Gallup Pakistan and Pulse Consultant in October 2017.
Along with other questions, respondents from across the country were asked to how much confidence they have on the overall role of different institutions.
72% of the KPK residents responded that they trusted the police force, which was second only to the Armed Forces (80%) and even more trusted than religious scholars (68%).
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, tweeted
KP police 2nd most trusted institution after army amongst KP based respondents. A great achievement for KP Police Reforms to gain this high level of public trust, since in 2013 KP police devastated with almost 700 of their men killed in previous 5 yrs. https://t.co/c9vKpevWKG
