Recent comments by Pakistani actor Khaqan Shahnawaz about Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan have ignited a backlash from both India and Pakistan fans.
During a private TV show appearance, a fan expressed their wish to see Shahnawaz act with the iconic actress. Shahnawaz humorously replied, “I can play her son. Definitely.”
He added that he considered Kapoor Khan much older than himself, implying his role would be limited to her son’s.
This remark displeased Kareena’s fans, who quickly expressed dissatisfaction on social media. One fan stated, “Kareena wouldn’t even know who he is, even though I’ve never seen a drama about him.”
Another comment described Shahnawaz as “full of himself.” The widely shared Instagram clip attracted numerous angry responses, escalating the online controversy.
Despite the stir, Kapoor Khan recently posted endearing Instagram photos, including one of Saif Ali Khan amid dried trees with a red heart emoji and another of their son Taimur by a decorated Christmas tree, captioned “Mera Beta” with a red heart emoji.
Shahnawaz’s remarks on Kapoor Khan’s age have caused a stir, yet the Bollywood star remains focused on her family and holiday festivities.
