Veteran actor Johnny Depp touched down in Boston on Friday, appearing with a supportive cane as he geared up for an impending concert with his band, Hollywood Vampires. The music spectacle had previously been delayed due to an unfortunate ankle injury that Depp had encountered.
The Hollywood Vampires’ Rescheduled Performances
The Hollywood Vampires, a star-studded assembly of Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Hennsen, alongside Depp, had to reorganize three crucial US tour dates that were set to take place on May 29. The performances affected by this unforeseen setback were set to be in Manchester, New Hampshire, on May 30, followed by Boston on May 31, and culminating in Bethel, New York, on June 1.
At the time, the band took to social media to share the unfortunate news with their fans, “We are disheartened to announce the rescheduling of our three upcoming US tour dates.”
“Johnny has suffered a severe ankle injury during his recent performances, and upon his doctor’s advice, he has been told not to travel.”
“Johnny is deeply upset by this development, but he is focused on recovering fully so that the Hollywood Vampires ensemble can deliver their best performances during the European tour.”
However, after taking a three-day hiatus, Depp rejoined his band on the touring trail on June 8 in Bucharest, Romania, sporting a protective boot over his injured leg. The band’s touring photographer, Kyler Clark, reassured their fans, stating that Depp was on the path to recovery, though he would need considerable time to heal completely.
The iconic actor, renowned for his role in “Edward Scissorhands,” now only has to navigate through the rescheduled performances in Manchester and Bethel before he can truly take a well-deserved break to rest and recuperate.
