Balochistan Speaker Jan Muhammad Jamali tendered his resignation earlier today owing to his differences with PML-N’s central leadership.
The resignation came after the coalition partners in the Baloch government decided to table a no-trust motion against the speaker.
The differences between Jamali and PML-N surfaced during the recently held elections of the Upper House. Jamali had refused to vote for the PML-N’s ticket holders in the Senate’s election.
Jamali’s daughter Sana Jamali contested on a woman seat, which was won by PML-N-backed Kalsoom Parveen.
According to sources, Governor House has received the resignation of Jan Muhammad Jamali.
