The wrestling community mourns the passing of Jamin Pugh, best known as Jay Briscoe died at the age of 38.
Jay Briscoe, who had been under contract with ROH (Ring of Honor) since 2022,
Tony Khan, the owner of ROH, announced on Tuesday evening on his Twitter account. “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today. Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We’ll do whatever we can to support his family. Rest In Peace, Jamin”
Jay Briscoe was a Ring of Honor Hall of Fame, inductee. Thirteen times, he and his brother Mark Briscoe have held the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Additionally, the Briscoe brothers held numerous titles, including the IWGP World Tag Team Championship.
According to Delaware State Police, one of the passengers also passed away; on January 17, in a car collision, Briscoe was killed in Laurel, Delaware. The collision occurred at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Police also confirmed that the other two passengers were also in the car.
