Internet Shutdown in Muzaffarabad Amid Protests Over Electricity and Taxes

Tensions have escalated again in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK), prompting authorities to suspend internet services due to ongoing protests over electricity and taxes.

In Muzaffarabad, demonstrators threw stones at Rangers personnel and damaged their vehicles. The Rangers responded with tear gas to disperse the protesters.

Representatives from the Joint Action Committee (JAC) have stated their intention to persist with the protests until their demands are met and an official notification is issued by the authorities.
