Landy Parraga Goyburo, 23, an influencer, was tragically shot dead in Ecuador after her Instagram post revealed her location. Goyburo had shared an image of her lunch, ‘octopus ceviche,’ at a local restaurant, which unfortunately led two armed assailants to her.
Surveillance footage from the restaurant captured the horrific moment. The gunmen entered abruptly while Goyburo was dining with a friend. The serene atmosphere was violently disrupted by gunshots, causing panic among the patrons.
Despite her efforts to escape, Goyburo was fatally shot, and the attackers fled the scene, leaving chaos and shock behind. Subsequent images showed Goyburo, a former beauty queen, lifeless.
The Instagram post that marked her location had reached her 173,000 followers. Authorities suspect it helped the attackers pinpoint her.
The exact motive for Goyburo’s murder remains unclear, with various theories circulating. Some speculate her connections with criminal figures; others suggest a possible romantic link with a gang leader. There are also rumours of a revenge attack by a drug lord’s widow, allegedly linked romantically to Goyburo.
