Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday lambasted at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)  over its response.

In a press conference in Islamabad, Khan,  said “ After three weeks, I have received ECP’s response, which is worst than a joke with the nation,”.

Lashing at ECP the PTI Chief questioned “Can a constitutional body be allowed to plunder this country. Is it  exempted from criticism,”

Khan criticising role of ECP in the rigging of the last general elections said “As a citizen of Pakistan, it is my right to seek answers from the Election Commission about complaints of rigging,”

“This response is an insult to my voters and former Chief Justice Nasir ul Mulk, who gave 40-point observations about the incompetence of ECP,” he said. “We will talk to PPP and other political parties, which have raised objections to the present members,” he said.

Khan said that his party would also adopt a legal recourse against the commission before taking to the streets. “We are also mulling over a proposal to file a reference against the members of ECP in Supreme Judicial Council,” he stated.

The PTI chief said that he would hit the streets after exercising all legal options.
