Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has expressed concern over the situation in Karachi and other parts of Sindh after British police arrested Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain day before yesterday.
In a statement issued to the media on Wednesday, Imran said he fully understood the anguish of the MQM workers at this difficult time but thought that it was absolutely unjustified for the MQM to bring Karachi to a standstill.
“It is not justified to disrupt the lives of the people of this metropolis and financial centre of the country, when it is the British authorities, who have taken legal action against a British citizen on charges of money laundering,” he said.
