At least two people were reported killed when the roof of an ice factory collapsed with an explosion in F.B. Area Karachi.
According to an eyewitness, following an explosion inside the building the roof of factory collapsed. It is also feared that several labourers were trapped under the rubble.
Rescue teams arrived at the scene after being informed of the incident.
Two dead bodies were retrieved from the rubble whereas three of the injured persons were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
The condition of the wounded is said to be critical.
Sources said that the relief teams are facing problems in relief and rescue operation due to gas leakage.
Police sources said that it was difficult to estimate the extent of the damage as the total number of labourers trapped inside the debris has not been ascertained.
