Pakistani actress and model Hania Aamir has refuted claims about a viral video, asserting it is a deep fake created with artificial intelligence (AI).
The controversial video, which emerged earlier this week, depicts a woman resembling Aamir in revealing clothes and bold poses. Various social media platforms initially circulated it, and an entertainment site incorrectly identified the woman as Aamir.
In her Instagram stories, Aamir clarified that the video is fabricated and AI-generated.
“This video circulating is artificial and not real,” she stated.
Aamir voiced her frustration with the media for propagating false information and called for increased accountability.
She also highlighted concerns about the misuse of AI technology and the lack of regulations to prevent such abuses.
“Showbiz sites must understand that the video is not mine,” she asserted, advocating for stricter AI regulations in media content.
Aamir’s remarks have spotlighted the growing issue of deepfakes and their effects on public figures, prompting discussions on privacy and the need for regulatory measures against AI misuse.
