The federal cabinet rejected the summary to eliminate National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) autonomy on Monday.
The Federal Ministry of Law addressed NAB in a letter rejecting the summary to abolish the watchdog’s autonomy.
The Ministry of Law rejected ending the NAB chairman’s independence. Instead, the NAB insisted that their job be classified as a Civil Service Occupational Group (CSOG).
