The government has finalized the security arrangement before the arrival of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Azadi March in Rawalpindi.
In accordance with the finalized special security plan for Imran Khan following the Wazirabad shooting, more than 6,000 police officers would be assigned to his protection.
Snipers will be stationed at the buildings along the route of the long march convoy, and CCTV and drone cameras will monitor the march.
During the Azadi March in Rawalpindi, welcome camps will be built on Murree Road beginning tomorrow. The container of former prime minister Imran Khan will be surrounded by special security.
The caravan’s current location that will resume its trek to Islamabad is Jaranwala. Imran Khan addresses the march’s participants daily via video connection following the shooting.
At a news conference in Lahore on November 6, the former prime minister said he would join the long march from Rawalpindi.
“Within 10 or 14 days, the march will reach Rawalpindi,” he claimed, adding, “I will be in Rawalpindi to lead the people.”
Imran reaffirmed that “three individuals” were responsible for the attack on his long march container. The Chairman of the PTI stated that he has every authority to mention them in the FIR.
