The Opposition benches lambasted the government for abandoning its long standing position of neutrality in other countries’ affairs. The leader of the opposition Khurseed Shah warned the government that taking sides in this conflict would have be detrimental to peace and any weapons sent to the rebels trying to overthrow Basheer AL Assad’s government might end up in the hands of Al Qaeda militants.
