Government has announced two public holidays on account of Ashura (Muharram 09 and 10) which falls on October 11 and 12.
In a notification issued by the interior ministry, all public and semi-government institutions will remain closed on October 11 and 12 in connection with Muharram 09 and 10 (1438 AH).
All schools, offices and markets will remain shut on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Ashura marks the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of Holy Prophet, at the battle of Karbala.
