Gold prices in Pakistan have soared, setting a new high on Monday. The local market saw a tola of gold increase by Rs1,700, reaching Rs268,000—a jump from the previous record of Rs266,300 set just two days earlier.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association reported that the price for 10 grams rose by Rs1,458, hitting Rs229,767. Globally, the price per ounce climbed to $2,587, reflecting a $10 rise for the day and an additional $20 premium. Meanwhile, silver prices stood firm at Rs2,950 per tola.
This recent hike in gold prices is in line with the global market’s ongoing rise, underscoring a sustained increase in the value of these precious metals.
