Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Khalid Khurshid has ordered a fact-finding inquiry into the Kohistan car-bus accident.
The accident on February 8 that resulted in at least 30 fatalities and 15 injuries has been the subject of an investigation by the chief minister.
Commissioner Gilgit Division has appointed the lead inquiry officer to investigate the tragic accident.
Following a thorough investigation into the road accident, Khalid Khurshid instructed the inquiry team to submit a report within ten days.
Additionally, the chief minister mandated that a thorough analysis of vehicles prone to collisions and other elements that contribute to such tragic accidents be included in the inquiry report. In addition, he requested suggestions for averting similar tragic incidents in the future.
