A four-day anti-polio campaign began in Karachi earlier today amid extra strict security measures.
Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan inaugurated the drive by administering anti-polio drops to the children at the office of Anjuman-e-Hilal Ahmer.
The campaign will continue till 18th February during which over 2.1 million children, under five- year age will be administrated anti- polio drops. Over 5000 volunteers are taking part in the campaign and 6000 security personnel are providing security to them.
Speaking on the occasion, Sindh Governor appealed the parent to cooperate with the visiting anti-polio team. He also called upon Ulema to raise awareness regarding the drive.
