Former Chief of Army Staff General (rtd.) Raheel Sharif visited the grave of Mjor Shabbir Sharif Shaheed on his martyrdom anniversary today (Tuesday).
The martyrdom anniversary of Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed is being observed today.
Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed was martyred at Sulemanki Headworks during the 1971 war and was awarded Nishan-e-Haider on his extraordinary gallantry.
In this connection, a simple but graceful ceremony was held at his Mazar in Miani Sahib graveyard in Lahore.
General Officer Commanding Major General Fida Hussain Malik was chief guest on the occasion, who laid floral wreath and offered fateha on the Shaheed’s grave. Jawans from Pak Army paid salute to the Shaheed’s grave.
