The Foreign Office said special PIA flights evacuated over 400 stranded Pakistanis from Hodeidah, Yemen, earlier yesterday.
In a Twitter message, FO spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said no further evacuation is required from the city.
She said fighting is going on in Aden city, where 150 to 200 people are stranded, adding that the city’s airport is not accessible, but the city’s port is free.
Tasnim said Pakistan’s navy ship is on its way to Aden and has also sought assistance from Chinese officials there.
The spokesperson said the situation is peaceful in Mukalla city, where 150 to 250 persons are stranded. However, she said the government is trying to ascertain how many people want to be evacuated from nearby airports, Riyan or Ghaidah.
The spokesperson said 150 Pakistanis would travel to Mukalla from Aden by road to join 100 there. She said a plane would be sent to Mukallaa on Tuesday to evacuate more stranded Pakistanis.
