Flydubai initiated flights to Islamabad and Lahore, receiving water cannon salutes upon arrival.

Fire tenders from the Civil Aviation Authority’s Rescue and Fire Fighting Service presented the salutes, a traditional tribute for new flights at Islamabad International Airport and Allama Iqbal International Airport.

A CAA spokesperson announced that the first flight from Dubai to Lahore, FZ 359, landed at 4:29 am.

Officials conducted a welcome ceremony with cake cutting and gifts for passengers.

The first flight to Islamabad, FZ 353, arrived at 1:13 pm, followed by a return flight to Dubai at 2:20 pm carrying 162 passengers.

Flydubai will offer daily flights to Islamabad.

On Wednesday, Somon Air’s debut flight from Dushanbe also received a water salute in Islamabad.
