Florence Mirsky, a US social media influencer, issued an apology after a video surfaced showing her shouting racial slurs at valet staff in Beverly Hills, California.
The video, which went viral on social media, captures Mirsky using derogatory language towards immigrants and making offensive statements about the actions of President Donald Trump. In the footage, she derogates the attendants, offers a $100 bill to one for change, and attempts to slap the phone from another’s hand as he records the altercation.
Faced backlash on Instagram, Mirsky expressed remorse in a detailed statement, acknowledging her “over-emotional state of mind” and committing to personal growth and sensitivity toward political and social issues. She described her reaction as stemming from an alleged inappropriate physical encounter with one of the valet workers, claiming the incident left her feeling violated.
Despite her inflammatory remarks, Mirsky emphasized her history of relationships within the Mexican community and her immigrant family background, arguing against accusations of racism.
