First time in Pakistan’s history, the gold price topped Rs170,000 per tola after a 1% hike in line with international values.
All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) issued rates showing the price of the precious commodity decreased by Rs850 per tola and Rs729 per 10 grams.
The association then confirmed that the price has risen by Rs2,000 per tola and Rs1,714 per 10 grams.
The new price is Rs170,800 per tola and Rs144,719 for 10 grams.
Rupee weakening boosted gold prices by Rs7,750 per tola in the last six sessions.
Silver remained above Rs1,900 per tola. The pricing of Rs1,970 and Rs1,688.95 remained unaltered.
