Mohsin Dawar, a member of the National Democratic Front (NDF), was stopped at Islamabad International Airport on Sunday en route to Tajikistan to attend the Herat Security Dialogue.
According to the details, the parliamentarian was detained by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) before his foreign departure.
With the permission of the federal cabinet, Dawar’s name has been removed from the Exit Control List (ECL) for two months.
“I believe they [FIA] were notified in advance [about my leaving],” he stated.
When he approached the counter, the MNA stated he was informed that his name remained on the no-fly list. He stated that he informed the officials that his name had been removed from the ECL, but they informed him that they had been instructed not to allow him to leave the country.
