Farhat Shehzadi, also known as Farah Gogi, has issued an Rs5 billion defamation notice to Umer Farooq Zahoor, Journalist Shahzaib Khanzada, and Geo Tv over claims made in the Toshakhana watch selling case.
A close friend of former first lady Farhat Shehzadi has reportedly served a defamation notice on Umer Farooq Zahoor, Geo Tv, and its journalist Shahzaib Khanzadi for initiating a negative campaign against her.
Criminal prosecutions would also be launched against Farooq, Geo Tv, and Shahzadab Khanzadi for defaming Farhat Shehzadi, according to an Rs5 billion libel notice given by Azhar Siddiq Advocate.
Further, the notice said that Farhat Shehazadi would not be in Dubai in 2019, so how could she sell the watch to Umer Farooq Zahoor?
Farhat Shehzadi stated that the claims were intended to slander her and create controversy about Imran Khan.
The notification required Umer Farooq, Geo Tv, and Shahzaib Khanzada to issue an apology within seven days or face a defamation lawsuit.
Umer Farooq Zahoor, who owns the costly watch offered by the prime minister, revealed on a Geo News show that Farah sold him the watch in April 2019 for Rs330 million in Dubai.
Umer asserted that a close acquaintance of the first lady sold him the watch directly.
