An elderly Australian couple, travelling around the world in their 102-year-old car, suffered from extreme heat in Jacobabad and are now unwell.
Lang and Bev Kidby, over 70 years old, started their journey from London and planned to end in Melbourne. According to their coordinator, Mohsin Ikram, the couple abandoned their car journey after reaching Jacobabad.

They loaded the open car onto a truck and sent it to Lahore while Lang and Bev travelled to the city in a regular car. They will then reach India through the Wagah Border.
The duo entered Pakistan via the Taftan border on May 23 and were supposed to exit Balochistan on May 25-26.
Their drive in a 1922 car is under the FIVA flag, the world governing body of vintage automobiles. This drive is being covered and followed in 100 countries.
