The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is set to reveal the presidential election schedule on March 1.

As outlined in the ECP’s timetable, candidates must submit their nominations by noon on March 2.

The ECP stated that nomination papers are available in Islamabad and across provincial capitals. By February 29, all assemblies will be established, completing the presidential electoral college. Article 41(4) mandates the presidential election within 30 days post-general elections.

Separately, the ECP has paused its decision on Nawaz Sharif’s objection to the NA-15 Mansehra result.

At the hearing, counsel presented arguments for Nawaz Sharif and the PTI candidate under an ECP bench led by Sindh’s Nisar Durrani. Sharif’s lawyer highlighted missing forms from 123 stations and unsealed ballot boxes, alleging extensive rigging.

Conversely, PTI’s counsel argued for a tribunal review if seal integrity was compromised, stressing the ECP’s procedural boundaries.
