An earthquake 5.5 on the richter scale was felt in northwestern upper parts of the country.
According to National Seismic Monitoring Centre of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the tremors of the earthquake were measured magnitude 5.5.
Reports said the jolts were felt across Malakand Division, Abbottabad district, Peshawar, Gilgit Baltistan, Skardu, Chillas, and some parts of Azad Kashmir where frightened people ran out of their homes.
According to our correspondent, no report of loss of lives or damages has been reported so far.
