The Director General of Civil Aviation (CAA), Khaqan Murtaza, and his colleagues have been charged with two trillion rupees of corruption.
The CAA Officers’ Association sent a letter to Khawaja Saad Rafique and the Aviation Minister on February 6, alleging that Muratza was “unqualified” to occupy public office and expressing fear that his team could do additional harm to the nation. The letter stated that more than 1,300 billion rupees were lost because the airport site was not cleared.

In addition, Lahore Walton Airport experienced a loss of Rs 40,000 billion on its Rs 45,000 billion in assets.

More than a hundred employees had to go to court owing to DGCAA’s lack of cooperation. During his term, contract posts were handed to his close friends and family without providing other agencies the confidence to outsource. Additionally, there are allegations that the situation of senior citizens is not addressed seriously.
Officials from the CAA requested that the FIA launch the inquiry into the general manager and his crew. Additionally, see CAA irritated by drones near Islamabad airport.
