The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa detained 768 terrorists and foiled dozens of incidents in 2022.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued the annual report for the year 2022.

According to the report, 768 terrorists were captured, and 90 terrorists had a bounty on their heads.

2,597 intelligence-based operations were carried out across the province, including in tribal parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

1,960 suspects were also apprehended, with 628 high-profile wanted criminals among those apprehended.

During the operations, 349 hand grenades, 80 SMG rifles, 16 suicide vests, 7 rocket launchers, and other heavy weaponry were recovered, according to the report.

According to the CTD report, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police were targeted in 279 instances this year, with 116 officers killed and 125 injured.
