The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Karachi has arrested Korangi, a lady leading the honey trap group.

In-charge of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Chaudhry Safdar, stated an investigation team arrested the ringleader of the Shanno Gang in a raid in Korangi 2 1/2.

The CTD team has also arrested three pseudo-CTD officers, namely Sajjad, Arbaz, and Salman.

“The woman befriended residents on the phone to trap victims and invite them to a specified site under a plan, when three pseudo-CDT officials raided the spot, keeping the victim imprisoned for blackmailing and released after obtaining desired sums from them,” In-charge CTD Chaudhry Safdar stated.

The group blackmailed a man for Rs. 2 lac; the accused were detained when they returned to collect the remaining 7 lac,” he stated.

Chaudhry Safdar urged the public to stay vigilant, be careful, and help the police and CTD team to identify blackmailers.
