A group of 25 Pakistani bikers arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on their way to Makkah for a spiritual pilgrimage and to perform Umrah.
The bikers’ group left Lahore on January 6 to perform Umrah, and they arrived in the holy country after 18 days of travel. After spending 15 days in the kingdom, the bikers will depart for Pakistan.
Ameer Khurram Rathore, Pakistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and other officials welcomed them when they arrived in Riyadh. At the Pakistani embassy, a reception ceremony was additionally held in their honor. The group received a shield from the ambassador during the ceremony.
To perform Umrah, the motorcycle club will depart today for Makkah.
The bikers arrived in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), earlier on Saturday while traveling to Saudi Arabia.
Lunch was served in their honor by the Pakistani embassy.
According to Khaleej Times, Mukarram Tareen, the group’s leader, said that while traveling through the nations to Saudi Arabia, they work to promote a favorable image of Pakistan, its rich cultural heritage, and the friendly nature of Pakistanis.
