Days before Eid ul Adha, criminals have begun stealing sacrificial animals in Lahore.

On social media, it showed sacrificial animals being taken at gunpoint from a boy by a group of robbers.

The video shows the robbers stopping their vehicle beside a young boy walking with two expensive goats in a lane. They exit the car, slap the boy, and threaten him.

The robbers then seize the goats and force them into the vehicle, brandishing a pistol to intimidate the boy and prevent any resistance.

After taking the goats, the robbers hastily flee the neighbourhood, shocking the boy. He runs in panic in the opposite direction.

Netizens expressed outrage after the CCTV footage appeared on social media, highlighting citizens’ helplessness against criminals and the authorities’ lack of effective measures.

One citizen noted that the robbers’ car number plate was visible but doubted any action would be taken. Another criticized police inaction.

A user censured the police and the government, claiming that authorities would do nothing “but eat barbeque [with robbers] together.”
