Cyclone Asna’s winds caused several containers to topple at the South Asia Port Terminal, Karachi Port, aka China Port.
The containers, which toppled due to the forceful winds, were empty, thus preventing any injuries or significant financial damage. Port authorities have confirmed that the lack of contents in these containers likely helped avoid more severe consequences.
Although Cyclone Asna created a dramatic scene, it did not disrupt operations at China Port. Port sources have confirmed that activities continue as usual, underscoring the port’s resilience and operational efficiency.
However, the toppled containers did impact traffic at the terminal’s entrance, causing delays. Traffic police actively manage the scene to restore normal traffic flow as swiftly as possible.
