The Chief of Army Staff (COAS),General Raheel Sharif, called both the Afghanistan President Ghani as well as the Commander of ‘Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan and shared with them details of the investigations carried out so far in the terror attack perpetuated at the Bacha Khan varsity in Charsadda.
According to army’s top spokesman Lt. Gen. Asim Bajwa, Gen. Sharif held telephonic conversations with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah and Commander of Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan General John Campbell.
Charsadda terror attack was being controlled from a location in Afghanistan through Afghan cellular phone by an operative of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), he said.
The army chief asked the Afghan leaders and the US commander for their cooperation in locating and targeting those responsible for heinous act and to bring them to justice, Bajwa said.
