Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah wrote a letter to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday advising him to allocate the vacated seats in federal bureaucracy on Sindh quota as per the constitution.
The letter states that Sindh must be given representation in bureaucracy on the basis of population in accordance with the quota allocated in the constitution.
He further states that federal bureaucracy plays an imperative role in forming policies for the government and their implementation.
Noncompliance with constitution is hapless whereas Sindh’s representation in federal bureaucracy is next to none, he added.
He urged not to halt the promotion of Sindhi officers adding that Sindh must also be given its due representation while appointing federal secretaries and chief secretary.
Nonconformity with Sindh quota is matter of grave concern, he added.
