A group of children recently stormed the K-Electric complaint centre in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area, protesting ongoing power outages.

During the demonstration, K-Electric officials reported that the protesters damaged several motorcycles owned by the centre’s employees and set three of them ablaze.

The situation escalated when the children ignited a fire near the centre’s entrance gate. Police were called to the scene and de-escalated the situation shortly after arrival.

Law enforcement sources indicate that the protest had been active for two days, fueled by extended electricity shortages in the neighbourhood. Approximately 40 to 50 children were involved in the protest. Additionally, authorities observed 4 to 5 women who seemed to be directing the children’s actions during the demonstration.
