Video footage has surfaced depicting an incident where a mobile phone exploded in the hands of American rapper Ceelo Green.
The video, which has gained widespread attention, shows the “Forget You” singer being knocked to the ground in his recording studio as his mobile device emits sparks and smoke.
Captured on a security camera, the footage reveals the moment the device, held close to his ear, emits smoke before erupting in a burst of sparks, causing Green to fall off his chair, immobilized by the explosion.
The intensity of the explosion and the immediate shock led to Green falling to the ground without moving, raising concerns among viewers.
The video quickly spread online, leading to speculation among fans that Green might have been using a Samsung Galaxy phone, some models of which were recalled earlier due to technical issues that resulted in devices exploding.
The footage elicited widespread shock and concern among the public.
In response to the widespread reaction, Ceelo Green addressed his fans through a Facebook Live video, assuring them of his safety and well-being. He clarified that the alarming scene was part of a video shoot for a new “Gnarly Davidson” project. He expressed his regret over any emotional distress caused by the footage.
Green emphasized, “I just want to let everybody know I am alive, well, and OK. I’m upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today. What you saw today was a clip from a smaller video that we were shooting for a new project I’m doing called Gnarly Davidson.”
