Bon Jovi’s news song “This House Is Not for Sale” tops the Billboard charts with only 315,000 digital streams.
The digital streams Billboard’s math, 1,500 streams equals one album sold — earning 128,000 of its 129,000 album equivalent units in traditional sales.
The album was aided by a promotion that included a physical copy with every ticket purchased to Bon Jovi’s current tour.“This House Is Not for Sale” (Island) is the band’s sixth No. 1 album over all, following “What About Now” from 2013.
In this week “Sremmlife 2” (EarDrummers/Interscope) by the playful rap duo Rae Sremmurd, which was released in August, hit a new peak at No. 5 despite selling only 3,000 copies this week as an album. Instead, 31 million streams and 154,000 song downloads boosted “Sremmlife 2” as its single “Black Beatles” became a viral hit.

Alicia Keys opens at No. 2 with “Here” (RCA), tallying 50,000 album equivalent units, including 42,000 in traditional sales and eight million streams; the “Trolls” soundtrack (RCA) rises to No. 3 after the release of the movie; and Pentatonix’s “A Pentatonix Christmas” (RCA) is at No. 4.
