In Barkhan district of Balochistan, Levies purportedly recovered a mother who had been kidnapped along with her four sons and daughter, who were allegedly in the custody of Balochistan Minister for Construction and Communications Sardar Abdul Ghafar Khetran.
Khan Muhammad Marri, whose three family members were murdered, alleged that Khetran held his children in a “private prison” for him.
The measure was initiated after demonstrations in Balochistan demanding the return of missing persons gathered traction. The provincial minister was also arrested for his role in the savage murder.
Nevertheless, according to local officials, Marri’s presumed-deceased wife, Giran Naz, and her five children, Farzana, Abdul Majeed, Abdul Ghaffar, Imran, and Abdul Sattar, were discovered during the search operations.
Khan Muhammad Marri’s family was held captive in multiple locations when the military intervened in three areas.
According to reports, the levies quick response squad conducted operations in South Punjab and East Balochistan to liberate the hostages. The force also foiled a plot to transport the two kidnapped boys to Punjab.
As the police interfered in the settlements of Kohlu, Dakki, Barkhan, and Dera Bugti, Khan Muhammad Marri’s family was being held captive in multiple locations.
The Levies officials specified that Naz, Farzana, and Imran were discovered at Kohlu, Chamalang, and Dakki in the Bala Dhaka border region. They added that Majeed was discovered in Dakki, Ghaffar in Kohlu, and Sattar in Dera Bugti.
Throughout the operations, no arrests were made, according to the police.
For Naz and her children, the security of a law enforcement organization has been maintained.
The photographs of the recovered individuals have also been made public. In one photo, Naz and her children can be seen wandering with levies officials after being rescued, while in another, a levies officer can be seen shawling the mother.
