Balochistan Police detained Pakistan Teheek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Swati and transported to Quetta.
Azam Swati was arrested over his tweets against senior military commanders.
Officials who spoke anonymously said the senator was arrested for multiple Balochistan offenses.
Farah Swati, daughter of Azam Swati, confirmed on Twitter that Sawati was arrested from PIMS Islamabad.
She further added that “Quetta police came at 7:30 am this morn and had him discharged before his lab results came back. Weve been told that they have taken him to Quetta. My plea to all Pakistanis world wide and those that believe in humanity and democracy to please raise your voice for my father”
She urged the PTI supporters to raise their voices against the arrest of Swati.
