Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar assumed office as minister of law on Wednesday.

At the behest of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the PML-N senator has assumed the role of law minister and resigned from the position last month for “personal reasons.”

In place of Tarar, the federal government chose Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and gave him an extra charge in addition to economic matters.

PM Shehbaz declined Tarar’s resignation and instructed federal ministers to request that Tarar continue serving as the law minister.
