PTI chief Imran Khan addressing a mammoth rally in Karachi today sought a pledge from the masses to do away with slavery and suppression of the rulers
Addressing his supporters at a huge public gathering at Mazar-e-Quaid, he emphasised upon bringing change through the vote and fight against the practice of rigging.
He reiterated that campaign against the government won’t end until Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigned.
“God willing (Inshallah), we will form a new Pakistan. I dream of a Pakistan where foreign embassies would be proud of working in Pakistan,” he told his supporters.
“It is our fundamental right that we elect our leader through votes. It is the first right of an independent nation.”
The PTI chief lamented that all elections, except 1970, were heavily rigged. “You have been deprived of your fundamental right to vote,” he stressed. God willing, we will make a Naya Pakistan. We will make a Pakistan for which we all dreamt.” He thundered
Currently, he said, there is a rule of jungle being followed in the country.
He said he had not seen farmers being oppressed so badly in any country than Pakistan. He sought pledge of the people to fight against the oppression of the rulers.
Imran said, “We need to raise and improve three segments of society”,
- Teachers and professors (Education)
- In police (depoliticised and unbiased)
- Judges by Raising their salaries, working conditions and environment
Imran said police should be depoliticised to let the society working. He vowed to bring big positive changes in the society.
Referring Maulana Fazlur Rehman as ‘Maulana Diesel’ at least thrice in his speech, he said he won’t forgive Maulana as he used derogatory language against PTI women and children in the Islamabad sit-in.
He lashed out at PM Nawaz, saying he was taking to reign time and again and plundering national wealth.
Imran said, “Everyone want to see Naya Pakistan’.
The PTI chief left the venue after his hardly 20-minute address (excluding prayer’s break) to his supporters as he had to leave for Islamabad.
