Anchorperson Abdullah Hassan has tragically died in a severe traffic accident.
The accident occurred near the Avari Tower signal on Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi, where a vehicle veered off the road and struck the sidewalk, fatally injuring one individual.
The victim was identified as Abdullah Hassan, a seasoned journalist who had worked as a news anchor for several private TV channels, including a long tenure at Aaj TV. At the time of his passing, he was employed with GTV Channel, which has since issued a statement expressing deep sorrow over his loss.
Rescue teams promptly moved Abdullah’s body to a hospital, and police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has offered his heartfelt condolences, stating, “I am deeply saddened by the passing of news anchor Abdullah Hassan in this road accident. My thoughts are with his grieving family during this painful time. May Allah forgive him, elevate his status, and provide patience to his loved ones. Ameen.”
