Amir Balaj Tipu, the progeny of Arif Amir, known as Tipu Truckanwala of the goods transportation network, was shot dead near the Thokar Niaz Beg area of Lahore on Sunday.
The police report states that the incident unfolded at a wedding event in a housing society close to Thokar Niaz Beg, where an armed individual opened fire on Balaj Tipu. Recently affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Tipu was fatally shot and died immediately.

The shooting also resulted in injuries to two bystanders, as acknowledged by law enforcement. In the aftermath, the assailant was reportedly killed in an exchange of gunfire by Tipu’s security detail.
Authorities actively investigate the events that precipitated this attack and explore the underlying motives.
Balaj Tipu was the offspring of Arif Amir, or Tipu Truckanwala, who faced a similar fate in 2010, being assassinated in the Allama Iqbal airport’s parking area. This recent loss of Balaj may incite a new wave of vendetta stemming from the murder of his grandfather, Billa Truckanwala, in 1994.
